Small Business Mentoring Program
The Porter House KC Mentorship Program is a year-long program that matches aspiring and emerging small business owners with local entrepreneurs and business leaders, with a goal of supporting them holistically to name and work towards specific goals as they build their businesses. With a focus on developing and building deep relationships and soft skills, mentees have a dedicated space to connect with someone who understands the unique challenges and opportunities that come with entrepreneurship.

In addition to one-on-one meetings, mentors and mentees attend monthly workshops that focus on the following:
- Inter and Intra- Personal Skills
- Problem-Solving + Creativity
- Managing Information and Assessing Risk
- Mentors
In order to participate in this program, potential mentors must:
- Be an established entrepreneur or business leader (5+ years of experience and expertise)
- Reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area
- Commit to fulfilling the program requirements which include:
- At least ONE MONTHLY 1-on-1 meeting w/ mentee
- Attending monthly whole group workshops
- Completing program surveys
Mentees
In order to participate in this program, potential mentees must:
- Be a current or aspiring entrepreneur whose business earns less than $200K in revenue/year
- Reside in the Kansas City metropolitan area
- Commit to fulfilling the program requirements which include:
- At least ONE MONTHLY 1-on-1 meeting w/ mentor
- Attending monthly whole group workshops
- Completing program surveys + business updates
